Dupont is a physician owned hospital and is located in the rapidly developing northwest suburb of Fort Wayne. The volume is currently 21,000 and growing with 24 hours of physician coverage and 8 hours of APC coverage per day in this 13 bed ED. This hospital serves all patient populations but specializes in sub-specialty surgeries and is responsible for delivering more babies than any other hospital in Ft. Wayne (with 24/7/365 in-house OB and anesthesia coverage).

This 22 bed ED – volume 31,000 – has 24 hours of physician coverage and 24 hours of APC coverage per day. St. Joseph Hospital is home to one of Indiana’s two regional burn units. It is also a STEMI and Certified Stroke Center with three cath labs. The hospital has recently undergone a multimillion dollar renovation. The medical staff provides effective care for all specialties but neurosurgery.

Lutheran is located in the rapidly growing southwest suburb of Fort Wayne and is our group’s regional referral hospital. This 396 bed facility has been recognized as one of Indiana’s best cardiac hospitals and is a Level II trauma center. The ED volume is 45,000 and growing with 34 adult beds and 7 pediatric beds. Shifts at Lutheran involve simultaneously staffing the main ED and the pediatric ED. All specialties are represented. There are 36 hours of physician coverage and 36 hours of APC coverage per day.

Lutheran ER Statewood is a new (October, 2016) eight-bed emergency department located in northeast Fort Wayne. Projected volume for this new ER is 14,000 visits per year. Lab and diagnostic services mirror those of traditional emergency departments and include digital X-ray, ultrasound and CT. Lutheran ER Statewood is open 24/7 to care for patients with emergent and potentially life-threatening conditions, including heart attacks, strokes, head injuries, fractures, abdominal pain and respiratory issues and more. Admissions are transferred to one of the local Lutheran Health Network hospitals.
