About
Emergency Medicine of Indiana (EMI) was founded in 1992 by a group of innovative physicians whose goal was to provide the highest quality emergency medical care for Fort Wayne, Indiana. Due to a continued focus on quality and customer service, we have grown into a premier, 100% physician owned democratic group staffing eight emergency department contracts in Northeast Indiana. Seven of these contracts are with Lutheran Health Network, the healthcare leader in our region. In March 2015 we established Innovative Hospital Care (IHC) and expanded into a multi-specialty group to include the hospitalist program at Lutheran Hospital.
We enjoy practicing state of the art emergency medicine and hospitalist medicine in an environment supported by all specialties. We are active at the hospital level, with all partners sitting on at least one hospital committee. We foster those who want to pursue leadership positions whether it be at the hospital, regional, state, or even national level.
We are looking for physicians who are interested in making Northeast Indiana their home, physicians who are active in their local community, and physicians who are passionate about the model of a physician owned, purely democratic group.
